The isothermic cellar

When the virgin olive oil has reached an ambient temperature in the decanting tanks, it enters the cellar where it will be left to rest in darkness, at a mild and constant temperature.

 

The Molino de la Vall Major cellar is an isothermic chamber kept at 17ºC. It houses self-cleaning, vertical deposits made of stainless steel used for foodstuffs.

The oil is decanted via watertight pipes, which start in the decanting tanks and end in the unloading and bottling area.

These communicating vessels allow the oil to be moved without direct handling.

In the Molino de la Vall Major we take good care of our olive oil. Every so often, as required, we decant the integral virgin olive oil to another tank, for cleaning of the base where the microparticles settle.
