Bottling the olive oil.
At the Molino de la Vall Major, we only bottle on demand.
Bottling on demand enables us to provide the type of extra virgin oil (integral, filtered or ecological), in the bottling material and capacity requested by our customers.
Materials used for bottling at the Molino de la Vall Major:
Dark glass bottles with anti-drip lid.
These protect the extra virgin olive oil from the light. Their anti-drip lid and capacity of 0.75 L and 0.25 L make it ideal for the table.
PET bottles (ethylene polytereftalate or polyethylene tereftalate).
These are light, transparent and resistant bottles. It is a high-quality plastic, identified by the number one, or letters PET, or “PETE” in English, surrounded by three arrows on the base of the bottles manufactured in this material, in accordance with the SPI identification system.
PET is a material that is characterized as being very light and by its mechanical resistance to compression and to being dropped, its high level of transparency and brilliance. It conserves the flavour and aroma of foods, is a barrier to gases, is 100% recyclable and is suitable for making reusable packages.
